         To transform Kyawangabi historical site into a conducive Marian Prayer Centre.

Mission statement

        To teach Catholics how to pray through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary following the teaching of the Catholic Church.

  • To reawaken the faithful’s devotion, respect and love for the Blessed Virgin Mary.

  • To teach and propagate among Christ’s faithful the authentic devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

  • To instill in Christ’s faithful a spirit of prayer in response to our Lady’s repeated plea to her children to pray ceaselessly.

The approach of Kyawangabi Shrine:
  • The dignity of the human person: Rooted in the teaching of the Catholic Church, we uphold that “The dignity of the human person is rooted in his creation in the image and lines of God; it is fulfilled in his vocation to divine beatitude”. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 1700). Rooted

  • The dignity of human life: In the same way, our approach to the dignity of human life is deeply rooted in the official teaching of the Catholic Church: “Human life is sacred because from its beginning it involves the creative action of God and it remains forever in a special relationship with the Creator, who is its sole end. God alone is the Lord of life from its beginning until its end: no one can under any circumstance claim for himself the right directly to destroy an innocent human being”. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 2258).


  • Society: Faith remains a condition sine qua non it is impossible to build a just society and living lives of holiness amidst the challenges of modern society.
